Shooting Range Rules At The Ballantyne

  1. All shooters must check in before shooting
  2. All shooters must sign a liability waiver, watch a safety video and fill out a questionnaire (each visit for the questionnaire)
  3. All firearms and ammunition will be inspected by our Range Safety Officer (RSO)
  4. All rental firearms MUST use new range ammunition
  5. Assume all firearms are loaded
  6. Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction
  7. Keep your finger outside of the firearm’s trigger guard and off the trigger until your sights are lined up and you’re ready to shoot
  8. KNOW what’s beyond your target!
  9. Ear and Eye protection are required in The Range bays at all times.
  10. No food or drink in The Range bays
  11. No rapid fire shooting
  12. Only shoot  your targetmake sure target is positioned low enough that you do not shoot the equipment, and high enough that you do not shoot the floor
  13. No one under the age of 12 is allowed on the lanes
  14. Children between the ages of 12 and 18 MUST be accompanied at all times on the lanes by a parent or legal guardian
  15. All shooters must abide by all range rules
  16. No tracer or steel core rounds allowed under any circumstances
  17. No lead round nose allowed without approval of RSO
