Shooting Range Rules At The Ballantyne

  • All shooters must check in before shooting
  • All shooters must have filled out the current liability waiver and watched the safety video
  • Firearms and ammunition may be inspected by Range safety officer
  • All rental firearms MUST use range ammunition
  • Assume all firearms are loaded
  • Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction
  • Keep your finger outside of the firearm’s trigger guard and off the trigger until your sights are lined up and you’re ready to shoot
  • KNOW what’s beyond your target!
  • Ear and Eye protection are required in The Range at all times.
  • No food or drink in The Range
  • No rapid fire shooting on weekends, during the week must be approved by the RSO on duty
  • No drawing from holster on weekends, during the week, must be approved by RSO
  • Only shoot  your target – make sure target is positioned low enough that you do not shoot the equipment, and high enough that you do not shoot the floor
  • No one under the age of 10 is allowed on the lanes
  • Children between the ages of 10 and 18 MUST be accompanied at all times on the lanes by a parent or legal guardian
  • All shooters must abide by all range rules
  • No Tracer/Incendiary or steel core rounds allowed under any circumstances
  • No buckshot or birdshot allowed
